Little Dreamers: Visionary Women Around the World

This book is stunning. It is a collection of visionary women from around the world. The author chose to use the word visionary because these women saw visions that others didn’t. I think that use of wording is so powerful! Each of the thirty-six women featured has a page summary about their life and a gorgeous picture to match. The bold illustrations and colors make this inviting and my children love flipping through the pages mesmerized. The back contains additional women, a glossary of different words highlighted throughout the book, and further learning resources.

I think every child should have access to a book of a diverse group of people to look up to. And, this book does just that. It offers stories of women from around the world that are visionaries in art, science, dance, inventions and so much more. Showing that women are able to follow their unique passions and be anything they want!

To pair with the book my daughter picked one of the women featured and drew a picture about her.
